How's about (apologies if they're already on the wonderful list of yours, Mel);-

Aliens (1986) - classic Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) v's monsters action!?

Boudica (2003) - Alex Kingston as the Iceni druidic-warrior Queen.

Elizabeth (1999) - Cate Blanchett (an Ozzie!!) as the iconic English Queen in a great, moving film.

Anne of the thousand Days (1969) - Genevieve Bujold (v's Richard Burton's vicious Henry) as the feisty yet doomed Anne Boleyn.

The other Boleyn girl (2003)- Phillipa Gregory's story, brilliantly made for UKtv, about the ill-fated Queen, Anne.

Dangerous Liaisons (1989) - Glenn Close steals this great, saucy and cruel film about sex and intrigue in late 18thC pre-revolution France.

Resident Evil (2002)- Former model Milla Jovovich leads the special forces in this tense zombie killer action.
