The Women of the Future Awards, in association with Shell, are the most powerful platform in Britain, to celebrate outstanding young women transforming Britain for the better.
Featuring high fliers from organisations such as IBM, HSBC and JP Morgan, the 2009 shortlist is the most impressive and diverse to date. Our shortlist includes the singers from Wicked Alexia Khadime & Dianne Pilkington, founder of Pineapple Studios Debbie Moore and tailor Kathryn Sargent.
For the first time, we are acknowledging young stars aged 16-21. In contention for this category, we have a pianist, an actress and a racing driver among many other talents.
The awards will be presented at a celebratory, black-tie event held on Thursday November 12, 2009 Marriott Grosvenor Square. Hosted by BBC London's Riz Lateef, we expect this event to sell out quickly on publication of this shortlist."
Cherie Blair is the patron of the Women of the Future awards - read what she has to say in this article at the Guardian.
