France: Burqua Bill

From AFP:
Muslim women who wear the full Islamic veil in France will face a possible 750-euro (1,000-dollar) fine, according to a draft bill unveiled Thursday by the leader of the parliamentary majority.

Jean-Francois Cope, who heads the governing UMP party in the National Assembly, told Le Figaro newspaper's weekly magazine that men who force their wives to wear the burqa or niqab could face an even heavier fine.

Just wondering how the government will know which husbands/fathers are forcing their wives to wear the niqab? This will be interesting to follow.

I love your blog.

those who want to ban the burqua aclaim that it interferes with the dignity of women.

My question to you is this: Does pornography interfere with the dignity of women? Is it dignified to be sodomized but undignified to veil the face?

France needs to look at itself.
