Some 100 Czech female Roma activists and representatives of civic associations that help Romanies and other ethnic minorities staged a demonstration against mounting intolerance and extremism in Prague Saturday.
The meeting was addressed by Anna Sabatova, chairwoman of the Czech Helsinki Committee, and representatives of the League against Anti-Semitism, the Burma Centre Prague, and other organisations.People could sign a statement against racism. The organisers want to collect further signatures via the Internet and to hand the statement to politicians in January.
